Cherry Blossom season is officially over in Tokyo and most of Japan. There are still some colder areas in northern Japan, such as Hokkaido, where the trees have just started to bloom. I was only able to see a few blossoms last year, so I wanted to make sure I made up for it this year. The weather definitely played a role in making that happen. There were more trees in full bloom for much longer this year. Last year, I only remember two cherry blossom trees in my neighborhood park but this year, it was full of them!
Here are pictures from the 2019 sakura season around Tokyo.
